Art at Home: Teen Canvas Painting

Local artist, Jennifer Cook, will be leading virtual canvas painting classes for students going into grades 6-12. A YouTube video will guide students through the painting process. Choose from Star Wars, Mockingjay, or Feather.

  • Register by June 1 through the library's calendar (go to Thursday, June 17 on the calendar) or by calling the library at 812-256-3337. 
  • When signing up, please put your library branch and the picture title you would like to paint in the notes section.
  • All materials will be included in the kits.
  • Kits will be available for pickup on June 17.

 Teen Prizes

  • 200 minutes of reading - Notebook
  • 500 minutes of reading - $5 gift card

 Teen who choose to do the challenge reading will receive entries
 into a drawing for various gift cards.

There are 2 ways to register.
  1. Stop by the library and register in person
  2. Register online - Download the Beanstack app from the app store on your phone or tablet. Then beginning June 1, register in the app. Next, log your reading in the app. After completing the prize levels, come to the library for your prizes. Beanstack can be accessed on a computer here.

Ice Cream @ The Library

The Clark County Farm Bureau wants to help your family celebrate National Dairy Month with free ice cream!

The New Washington State Bank’s ice cream truck will visit the branch libraries at these dates and time:

Charlestown Library: June 8 at 1-2 pm
Sellersburg Library: June 8 at 2:30-3:30 pm
Borden Library: June 10 at 1-2 pm
Henryville Library: June 10 at 2:30-3:30 pm
New Washington Library: June 15 at 1-2 pm

YA Summer Reading Bingo

This summer, teens can stop by any branch to pick up a Young Adult Bingo Card.

Complete Bingo and turn in your bingo card for a small prize. Everyone completing bingo will be entry into the end of summer prize drawing.

grab and go crafts Teen Grab and Go Kits

Stop by any library branch to pick up a Teen Grab and Go Kit.

These kits will be featured on this website and our Facebook page when they are available.

All kits are first come first served. No registration required.
